Merry-Go-Round
Mari Pataki, a modest but potential young farmer, resides in a rural setting undergoing significant changes. Her father prohibits her from seeing her boyfriend. The father, mostly concerned with farm work and future money, decides to give his daughter in marriage to an elderly but wealthy business partner. He states that land marries land. This appears to be the inflexible norm of Hungarian peasants. But the young lover is willing to overcome any obstacle to retain Maris's affection.
