Amazon was a syndicated television series created by Peter Benchley. It was developed WIC Entertainment & by manufacturing companies Alliance Atlantis Communications and German firm Beta Film GmbH. The 22 episodes of this series were at first-run syndication between 1999 and 2000.
The play series focused on the six survivors of a airline flight at the Amazon jungle. The group comes in to connection and also connections are anything but friendly. A mysterious tribe, who flew from century colonists who were lost in Amazon takes the group. Relations with the Chosen are tenuous at best. The majority of the group escapes the plumped for just to wake up a hornets nest with a tribe of cannibals, led by an insane American woman bent on domination of all the local tribes. The primary season ended at a cliff hanger, and also another season was never produced. The series kept interest it was released on DVD.
A novelization of this pilot was written by Rob MacGregor, and also a paperback was released by Harper on 8 2000.
The German title was Amazonas - Gefangene des Dschungels.
