Maggie and the Ferocious Beast

The books that Michael Paraskevas and his mother Betty Paraskevas wrote inspired a Canadian animated television series called Maggie and the Ferocious Beast. Maggie, who is just five years old in the program, draws a map of her made-up world, which she calls "Nowhere Land," but in actuality, the map leads the characters nowhere. Maggie and the Ferocious Beast is a production of Nelvana, and Jamie Whitney and Stuart Shankly are the film's directors. The first episode of the series aired in2000, while the final episode of the series aired in 2003. The distribution rights for the show were held by Nelvana, which was the company that released the show. The show was localized for broadcast in the United Kingdom by using British voice actors in place of the original American soundtrack.
